Forty years of chasing signatures

J&J’s Sports Memorabilia is a family business in Pittston, PA. It started the way most collections start, with someone who could not walk past a signed ball, and it has been more than forty years since that stopped being a hobby.

What changed along the way is where the items come from. We host official signings and work directly with professional athletes rather than buying blind from the secondary market. That is a slower way to build a catalogue and a more expensive one, and it is the reason we can tell a customer exactly where a signature came from.

Why the hologram matters

Every autographed piece we sell carries numbered hologram authentication. We work with all the reputable authentication companies rather than tying ourselves to one, because which one it is depends on where the item was signed. Whichever it is, the number on that hologram matches an entry in that company’s own database, which means a buyer can verify the item without taking our word for it. The authenticator is named on every product page. If you collect seriously you already know how much that is worth. If you are buying a gift for someone who loves a team, it means you are not gambling on it.

What we carry

Signed jerseys, full-size and mini helmets, baseballs, bats, gloves, pucks, trading cards and framed 20x24 photographs, across MLB, NFL, NBA, WNBA, NCAA, NHL, soccer, boxing and professional wrestling. Prices run from around $20 for shop merchandise to several thousand for framed pieces from the biggest signings.

The frames are made by hand

Our custom framed pieces are not dropped into a stock frame. Every one is hand-built by a small framing business in Baltimore, Maryland, which is why the framed items cost what they cost and why they arrive looking like something you would hang rather than something you would store.

If there is a player or a piece you want and you do not see it, ask us. We will tell you honestly whether we can source it.
